Board Chair
A lifelong Texan and Texas Tech nursing professor, Kim brings a multi-faceted background in education, real estate, and nursing to her role. From pioneering the inaugural Women’s Soccer team at the University of Texas at Austin to holding leadership positions in healthcare, she embodies a spirit of excellence and service. In addition to her career and family commitments—her husband is an NFL alumnus and her children are athletes—Kim is deeply involved in her community, serving in various volunteer roles in Leander ISD and teaching Sunday school at her local church. -
JUSTIN SCOTT
CEO Support and Evaluation Chair
Justin Scott brings 15+ years of educational leadership, including regional superintendent in the Austin area. A first-generation college graduate, he embodies resilience and inspires students and staff. His strategic vision, team leadership, and expertise in turnarounds, and program expansion fuel transformative, student-centered growth. Known for fostering collaboration and navigating challenges, he advances equity, access, and meaningful change. His impact makes him essential to The Texas Girls School’s mission.

DR. TAMMI PEREZ-RICE
Academics Chair
Dr. Tammi Perez-Rice, a renowned STEM educator from The Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin, known for her significant contributions in mathematics education and curriculum development. Her extensive background, from professorship at San Jacinto College to pioneering educational strategies for student engagement and success, makes her an invaluable asset to our mission.

INDU SEETHARAMAN
Finance Chair, Treasurer
Indu brings extensive expertise in quantitative analysis, financial strategy, and process improvement to our founding board, holding an MS in Statistics, an MBA in Finance, and certifications as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and PMP, which establish her as a leader in data-driven decision-making. Currently serving as a Quantitative Risk Modelling Analyst at Frost Bank, Indu is committed to empowering young girls through education. She and her husband are active members of the Cedar Park community, and she is the proud mother of two young children in the Leander ISD geographic boundaries.

Tracy Johnson
Secretary
Tracy Johnson is a passionate and dedicated education policy professional with ten years’ experience creating and advocating for data-driven, systemic policy solutions that improve the lives of students, their families, and their communities. Her experience includes working in Texas public schools, the Texas Education Agency, and the Texas Legislature to create, advise on, and pass student-centered policies related to college and career readiness, charter schools, early literacy, the teacher workforce, and more.
Tracy has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University. She resides in Austin with her husband and 3 beloved animals. Her hobbies include practicing yoga, seeing live music, reading, and enjoying Austin’s incredible food and outdoors.

Director of Advocacy Initiatives at the Texas Public Charter Schools Association, Amy brings over a decade of professional experience in the education sector, from classroom teaching to program management and policy analysis. She holds an M.S.Ed. in Education Policy from UPenn, an M.A. in International Education from La Universidad de Alcalá in Spain, and a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Political Science from Southern Methodist University. Amy is passionate about fostering educational equity and opportunity for all students, locally and globally.

Senior Cybersecurity Education Specialist at The University of Texas at Austin's Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC), Nicola creates and delivers professional development for cybersecurity educators, designs curriculum for CompTIA Security+ certification, and collaborates with state and national entities to promote cybersecurity education.

Grace Mabie
Grace Mabie is a Banker in the Austin office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. She earned a B.A. with honors in Mathematics from Williams College and is passionate about mentoring young girls to gain confidence in their math skills. Throughout her professional career, Grace has focused on the best possible outcomes for clients. She has held instrumental roles at several growth mode startups, most notably as employee number seven at a high-risk consumer purchasing platform, where she rose to Senior Director of Client Success and Strategic Initiatives. Now at J.P. Morgan, she blends her analytical and project management skill set with an engaging style for the benefit of high-net-worth clients. An active participant in her local community, she serves as a committee member for Rodeo Austin.

MITCH ELATKIN
Special Education Advisor
Mitch brings 19 years of experience in special education. He is Managing Director of Special Populations for KIPP Texas, overseeing RtI, 504, and dyslexia services across over 50 schools. Currently pursuing a doctorate focused on co-teaching and special education funding, Mitch is set to graduate in spring 2026.

JONATHAN D. STOLK, PHD
Engineering Advisor
Professor of Materials Science and Engineering Education at Olin College, has been a pioneering force in higher education since joining Olin in 2001. He holds a PhD from UT Austin and played a key role in developing Olin’s unique engineering program and learning culture from the ground up. His research focuses on student motivation, self-directed learning, and the impact of educators' beliefs on teaching methods. Additionally, his work examines gender dynamics in STEM and supports curricular innovation through workshops and consulting worldwide.

ANDY HARVEY
Graduation Plan Advisor
Andy is an experienced School Counselor at Meridian World School in Round Rock, Texas, specializing in the IB Middle Years Programme. Previously, he served at Pflugerville ISD from 2012 to 2022, where he supported middle and high school students and coordinated GT, AP, and dual credit programs. His expertise lies in student and individual counseling, helping students navigate their educational and personal challenges.
