Kelly Bonsall
Electives Teacher & Flex Friday
Kelly Bonsall is a visual artist, experienced educator, and creativity guide with over twenty-five years of experience in the arts. She has taught in a wide range of settings—from public schools and museums to private studios and community workshops—sharing her love of art and helping others tap into their creative potential.
As a lifelong learner, Kelly encourages the same curiosity and self-exploration in those she teaches, guides, and mentors. She believes in the power of art to foster self-discovery, confidence, and connection, and she is dedicated to creating a safe and inspiring space for girls to explore their voices through visual expression.
At The Texas Girls School, Kelly envisions building a vibrant visual arts program that honors each student’s unique creativity while introducing them to a diverse range of materials, techniques, and artistic traditions. Her goal is to cultivate a dynamic studio culture where students feel empowered to take creative risks, think like artists, and see themselves as change-makers in the world.
Katie Horch
SPED & Dyslexia
With more than 15 years of experience working with students from preschool through middle school, Katie has learned that helping students succeed is about far more than teaching them to read — it’s about helping them believe in themselves. One of her greatest joys is watching students discover they’re capable of things they once thought were impossible. She values building strong relationships with students and their families, and works to create a classroom where every child, who learns differently, feels valued, supported, challenged, and celebrated as she grows. Her hope is that every girl leaves her classroom believing in herself a little more than when she walked in.
Katie’s mission is to create a classroom where every student knows she is valued, capable, and never alone in her learning journey — one where confidence grows through safe risk-taking, encouragement through challenges, and unwavering belief from the adults around her. She is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom, grounded in meaningful relationships, high expectations, and close partnership with families.
Outside of school, Katie treasures time with her daughter, who will be joining The Texas Girls School this year as a sixth grader — the two are excited to begin this new chapter together. Katie’s faith is central to who she is and inspires her to lead each day with compassion, encouragement, and grace. She is honored to be part of the TTGS community and looks forward to partnering with families to help each student discover her strengths, find her voice, and grow into the confident, compassionate young woman she was created to be.
Abby McNeal
Math / STEM & Technology Director
Abby McNeal joins us as Science and Accelerated Math teacher in addition to directing our STEM Departments. She has served in various roles in education, including Algebra 1 Teacher, IB DP and MYP Teacher, Adjunct Math Professor, IB DP Examiner, PLC Facilitator, Teacher Mentor, Math Department Chair, STEM Instructional Coach, K-12 STEM Education Specialist, and Head of Advanced Placement. She graduated with her Bachelors in Mathematics for Teaching from Texas A&M University with minors in STEM Education and Coaching, and her Masters in Mathematics for Teaching from Harvard University, including a graduate certificate in Math Leadership. One of her passions is solving how to best serve students with learning differences in STEM Education, especially through online platforms with mastery-based learning. When she isn’t teaching, she loves to spend time with family, read, see Broadway musicals, and travel to National Parks.
Dr. Frances Disney
Humanities Teacher: ELA & Social Studies
Humanities Teacher: ELA & Social StudiesDr. Frances Disney is a Humanities Teacher at The Texas Girls School, bringing a passion for interdisciplinary learning, student-centered education, and community building into the classroom. An educator, program designer, and proud first-generation college graduate, she has worked in education since 2010 across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, holding a Master’s in Education from UCLA and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from UC San Diego. Prior to TTGS, she served as a Lecturer at Texas State University and a Program Designer at IDEA Health Professions.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Disney enjoys the outdoors with her dogs, writing poetry, practicing Spanish and yoga, and exploring local arts and culture with her husband and son. She’s excited to bring her passion for educational access and student empowerment to the girls at TTGS.
Kassandra Quintanilla
SPED Paraprofessional
Kassandra Quintanilla is a SPED Paraprofessional at The Texas Girls School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in History and Educational Studies from St. Edward’s University in Austin and brings about two years of experience student teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. She first connected with the school while substitute teaching through HelloSubs.
Kassandra is passionate about supporting students’ instructional and behavioral needs and helping them build confidence as learners. Working closely with Katie, she supports students in reaching their academic and behavioral goals while fostering their leadership skills and love of learning. She is especially committed to teaching self-advocacy and ensuring every student feels safe, heard, and supported.
A Houston native with plenty of H-town pride, Kassandra enjoys swimming, hiking around Austin, and watching movies in her free time. She is excited for a fantastic year getting to know the girls.
Marge Stone
Math/Science
Marge Stone teaches Math and Science at The Texas Girls School and is passionate about all things STEM. A Midwest native, she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and is certified in Math 7-12 and Math/Science 4-8. She loves the logic and reasoning behind mathematical concepts and enjoys bringing them to life in the science classroom.
A lifelong learner herself, Mrs. Stone delights in sharing that curiosity with her students. She believes every student is a “math person” capable of doing hard things, and is committed to supporting each one individually, meeting them exactly where they are.
Mrs. Stone and her husband, Jeff, have four grown children — this year they’ll celebrate two weddings and one college graduation. In her free time, she enjoys walking and spending time with her family, and she’s looking forward to meeting and growing with the TTGS community.
Kristin Wootten
Front Office & Family Engagement Manager
Kristin Wootten brings more than 20 years of experience in retail and technology, where building relationships and helping people connect with meaningful opportunities has been central to her work. She is passionate about engaging families, fostering community, and empowering others to reach their potential.
As a founding TTGS parent, Kristin has had the unique opportunity to watch her daughter grow and thrive in the school’s supportive, all-girls environment. That experience deepened her commitment to the mission of empowering young women through education and leadership.
A Buffalo, New York native and lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, Kristin has long championed the advancement of women and girls. From earning her Girl Scout Silver Award to working with Athleta’s all-women team under the “Power of She” philosophy, she has consistently been inspired by the impact of strong female communities.
Kristin shares her home with her husband Steve, daughter Mckenzie and two dogs, Barkley and Keira. She is grateful to be part of the TTGS community and to support the next generation of confident young leaders.
