STEM Saturday Science at The Science Mill with Texas Girls School
Fossils, Butterflies & a Hill Country Road Trip Saturday Science in the Community with Texas Girls School · The Science Mill, Johnson City · Saturday, October 17
Bring your favorite grown-up and your curiosity. We’re caravanning west!
Every Saturday Science adventure starts in a circle at The Texas Girls School, where we swap names and meet the girls and grown-ups joining us for the day. Then we set off through the Hill Country to The Science Mill in Johnson City, a hands-on science museum in a historic mill.
Once we arrive, you’ll dig for fossils outdoors and wander through the butterfly garden. You’ll see fish and plants grow food together in the aquaponic greenhouse, and find out how animals inspire human inventions in the biomimicry exhibits. At lunch, spread out a picnic and trade your favorite discoveries.
You’ll spend the whole day exploring side by side, and she’ll be talking about it for weeks.
Open to all girls in grades 3–8. She doesn’t have to be a TTGS student. We have just 20 spots per trip, so claim yours before they’re gone.
